The design challenge

Vista at Summit introduces a contemporary residential experience within Rogers’ evolving mixed-use district, where shared spaces support daily routines and connection. In the lobby, Dynamik Interiors designed a common area centered around seating and a coffee bar—intended as both a social anchor and a high-use threshold space.

The challenge was balancing warmth and approachability with a modern architectural clarity that could hold up to constant movement and layered activity throughout the day.

Material solution

Ekoa in Saldo was used across coffee bar walls and cabinetry, creating cohesion within a compact but highly active shared environment. Its subtle grain and tonal depth bring warmth to key touchpoints while maintaining a clean, modern presence suited to everyday use.

The lobby operates as a high-traffic hub, with residents moving through continuously—grabbing coffee, meeting neighbors, and passing between destinations. The coffee bar naturally becomes the focal point, with Ekoa helping define the space through consistent material presence across walls and millwork.

Saldo introduces a grounded tone that supports energy and activity while maintaining visual calm within a busy setting.

Sustainability & healthy interiors

Ekoa supports healthier interior environments with Red List Free and Clean Air GOLD certifications. Made from rapidly renewable flax, Ekoa reduces material impact while supporting better indoor air quality in high-use residential spaces.

Its carbon-sequestering composition aligns with low-impact design priorities, contributing to environmental performance goals. At the same time, Ekoa maintains the durability required for everyday amenity spaces—balancing material health, resilience, and design intent in one surface system.
