The design challenge

For Martin Brattrud’s Chicago showroom, the design team wanted a natural, refined backdrop that would complement the finishes of a new furniture collection. The space needed to feel polished yet inviting, supporting the visual impact of the pieces while reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainability and material transparency.

Material solution

Drawn to its plant-based composition, the team selected Ekoa in the Dune color to create a vignette featuring forest-inspired upholstery. Its subtle flax fibers and uniform grain offered a clean, polished look, while the highly renewable content aligned with the company’s environmental goals. Ekoa’s thin, durable sheets were ideal for precise paneling and detailing throughout the showroom.
