Green Is Having a Moment. Canopy Is Having Two.

A dark teal that leans green, and why the in-between is our favorite place to be.

Color of the Year season is here, and green is having a moment. Among the 2027 picks, Benjamin Moore named Webster Green, Sherwin-Williams selected Celery, and Dulux named Soulful Sage. Valspar went blue. We get it. Greens and blues lead sample requests in our 40-color ColorBurst collection, too.

We have a take: the most interesting color in the room is the one that can’t decide. Canopy, from that collection, is a dark teal that sits right where green and blue meet, so it gets a moment in both. It doesn’t have to pick a side.

Why we love the in-between

Canopy doesn’t belong to one family. Call it a green or call it a blue, and it answers to either. That makes it useful in a green palette that needs a deeper note, a blue palette that needs a touch of green, or a neutral palette that wants one confident accent.

It’s also dark, saturated, and a little complicated, which keeps it interesting across a long wall. And like every ColorBurst color, it shows off the flax grain instead of hiding it, so the color picks up movement and depth from the fiber.

Yes, we made a plant-based surface in a color called Canopy. We know. And we’d do it again.

Canopy, four ways

Light and surroundings shift how Canopy reads: a touch greener in one room, a touch bluer in the next. Let the space decide.

Full height. One wall, one color, and no help needed. The grain catches the light, and the room does the rest.

As wainscot. Canopy below, a lighter wall above, and the space stays bright.

In cabinetry. Flat-front doors and drawers in Canopy, next to stone and brass fixtures in a workplace coffee area.

On a curve. Fully supported, Ekoa can bend all the way to a three-inch radius, which makes a curved desk or counter front possible.

Images are illustrative, so actual color and grain vary. Order a sample to see Canopy in person.

One color carries all four spaces, and each one reads differently. Get a sample in hand, try it in a project, and see which of these four ways makes the biggest statement.
